South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) and the SDHDA Board of Commissioners are responsible for the administration of the Housing Opportunity Fund in accordance with Senate Bill 235 of the 2013 South Dakota State Legislature. The Plan outlines what are eligible projects, who are eligible applicants and how SDHDA will allocate available funding. Housing opportunities financed by the HOF will serve individuals and families at or below 115 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI) for the corresponding county.

Across the country, events and celebrations are underway to recognize the American Dream of Homeownership. In Mobridge, SD the Kelly Martin family is being highlighted for receiving a Rural Development Section 502 Direct Single Family Housing Loan to purchase their home. The family previously was living in a small basement apartment in Kelly’s parent’s home.
