Public Housing and Economic Development Meeting Being Held

Funding Available for Communities to Conduct Housing Needs Studies

South Dakota Housing Development Authority’s (SDHDA) Board of Commissioners recently approved renewed funding to the Housing Needs Study Program. During the initial program funding, 16 communities participated in the study including Belle Fourche, Beresford, Britton, Campbell County, Canton, Centerville, Crooks, Faulkton, Fort Pierre, Gettysburg, Hartford, Lemmon, Martin, Miller, Murdo and Viborg

“Friend of Housing” Award Goes to Jeff Mitchell

South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) awarded Jeff Mitchell with the “Friend of Housing” award during SDHDA’s 26th Annual Housing Conference held last week in Pierre. Mr. Mitchell was honored for his dedication and contribution to affordable housing in South Dakota. He serves as an integral housing advocate to his community and also to the region on housing related issues.
