JOHNSON ANNOUNCES USDA RURAL HOUSING SERVICE GRANT

WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 13, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Senator Tim Johnson (D-SD) today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Housing Service has awarded a $50,000 Housing Preservation Grant to Neighborhood Housing Services of the Black Hills, Inc.

“Neighborhood Housing Services of the Black Hills has a well-respected and sustainable track record of assisting families with their housing needs and this latest grant will help expand those efforts,” said Johnson. “This grant will provide funding for critical home repairs and allow seniors to remain in their homes and stay independent.”

Rural Development funds will be used to assist in providing low cost, high quality and timely repairs for eligible low and very-low income homeowners. This grant will assist a number of families and will be administered by Joy McCracken, Executive Director of Neighborhood Housing Services of the Black Hills, Inc.
