South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) is inviting developers to submit applications for funding from the HOME Investment Partnerships program, Housing Tax Credit program and the Housing Opportunity Fund.

HOME Program – January 13, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — In addition to the set-asides, there is $3,425,000 General Pool funds available for the 2014 HOME applications. The 2014 per project limit is $685,000; the per developer, sponsor, or owner limit is $856,250; and the per community limit is $1,712,500.

Housing Tax Credit Program – For housing tax credits, there is an estimated $2,675,000 available for 2014 with the project limit of $535,000, developer limit of $668,750 and Non-profit set aside of $267,500.

Housing Opportunity Funds – For Housing Opportunity Funds, there is an estimated $2,250,000 available. The breakdown for location and activities is as follows –

Rural
$630,000 for Rental
$630,000 for Homeownership
$315,000 for programs
Urban
$270,000 for Rental
$270,000 for Homeownership
$135,000 for programs

Please be advised that SDHDA will not accept Public Housing Authority utility allowance calculations, however, SDHDA will work with the applicants to calculate utility allowances. Applicants must use the Utility Allowance Worksheet which can be found on either the HOME Program, Housing Tax Credits, or the Plans, Forms and Resources page to provide necessary information for this calculation.
