2016 – Paint South Dakota Campaign

"Paint – South Dakota” is underway and South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) is seeking volunteers to pick up paint brushes and set aside some free time to help residents in their communities.

Schedules are busy and SDHDA understands that. To make life easier we will be hosting an online meeting at 5:30 p.m. CT in conjunction with the public meeting on Wednesday, February 3. For those that can attend, the meeting will be at South Dakota Housing Development Authority, 3060 E. SDHDA Encouraging Participation in Housing and Community Development Public Meetings

South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA), in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), is encouraging public participation in upcoming housing and community development meetings.

Funding Available for Housing Development

The HOME program, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, provides financing to developers and/or owners for acquisition, new construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing. SDHDA has $2 million available for affordable single and multifamily housing opportunities statewide.

“Friend of Housing” Award Goes to Jeff Mitchell

South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) awarded Jeff Mitchell with the “Friend of Housing” award during SDHDA’s 26th Annual Housing Conference held last week in Pierre. Mr. Mitchell was honored for his dedication and contribution to affordable housing in South Dakota. He serves as an integral housing advocate to his community and also to the region on housing related issues.
