Open Job Position – Continuum of Care Administrator

DESCRIPTION: – (RealEstateRama) — Primarily responsible in assisting the South Dakota Housing for the Homeless Consortium in creating and achieving goals. Duties will consist of outreach to all areas of South Dakota to build relationships and enhance coordination of services; oversight and facilitation of the statewide Continuum of Care (CoC); prepare and submit Exhibit 1 of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) CoC application; coordinate and compile information and data, including the annual statewide homeless count, for reporting to HUD, for completion of the CoC application, for program planning, and for out-come based program evaluation. This position will work with both federal and state funded programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidate must possess strong analytical and negotiating skills and an assertive attitude towards relationship building. Candidate must demonstrate strong written, verbal, research and organizational skills; be able to problem solve; be a self-starter; and have the ability to tackle complex situations and multiple responsibilities while working with numerous organizations.

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree plus at least two years professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in housing, finance or social work. In state travel and some out of state travel will be required.

LOCATION: Pierre, SD

STARTING PAY: $23.34 to $25.94 per hour
