New Downpayment Assistance Program

Pierre, SD - June 5, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) is pleased to announce a new program to assist with downpayment and closing costs. The Advance Tax Credit (ATC) Loan Program allows the borrower(s) to utilize a portion of their First-time Homebuyer Tax Credit for these costs in conjunction with an SDHDA First-time Homebuyer loan.

SDHDA Awards $8.5 Million in Housing Development and Rehabilitation Funding

PIERRE, SD - May 29, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — The South Dakota Housing Development Authority’s (SDHDA) Board of Commissioners recently approved more than $2.5 million in Housing Tax Credits, $4.9 million in HOME Investment Partnerships Program, and $1.1 million in Neighborhood Stabilization Program funding that will help finance eleven developments across South Dakota.

State Housing Agency Lowers First-time Homebuyer Program Mortgage Rate to Make Homeownership More Affordable

PIERRE, SD - May 13, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — To continue making homeownership more affordable, the South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) announced today that their 30-year mortgage interest rates have been lowered. The interest rate for starting Step Rate loans is now 3.50%. The 30-year Fixed Rate option was reduced to 4.50% and the Fixed Rate Plus Option, which includes 3% cash assistance, was lowered to 5.00%.
