PIERRE, S.D. – August 15, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Citizens across South Dakota are invited to provide comments prior to the drafting of South Dakota’s 2014 Annual Update to the Consolidated Plan and amendments to the HOME and Housing Tax Credit (HTC) allocation plans.
The 2013-2018 Consolidated Housing and Community Development Plan (Plan) details how the state will allocate its housing and community development resources of HOME and Community Development Block Grant Funds allocated by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The 2014 Update will outline how the federally allocated housing and community funds will be allocated during 2014 and highlight outcomes from 2013. South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) administers the HOME and HTC housing programs. The Governor’s Office of Economic Development administers the Community Development Block Grant Program.
SDHDA will also be amending the 2013 – 2014 allocation plans for both the HOME and Housing Tax Credit programs. HUD recently released the HOME Final Rule which will require modifications to the existing allocation plans.
Persons who are interested in presenting comments may do so by attending the public meeting which will be held via the Digital Dakota Network (DDN) on August 27, 2013, beginning at 2:00 p.m. (CDT); 1:00 p.m. (MDT) at the following DDN locations:
