PIERRE, S.D. – August 23, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Gov. Dennis Daugaard has appointed Mark Puetz to the South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) Board of Commissioners.
Puetz is the Owner and Project Development Coordinator for Puetz Corporation. Puetz Corporation is a third generation, 61-year-old commercial architecture, construction management and construction firm in Mitchell.
“Mr. Puetz will be a great addition to the SDHDA Board,” said Mark Lauseng, Executive Director. “His experience and understanding of development will benefit SDHDA and provide us with insight and perspective to meet our housing goals.”
Puetz has been involved in his community on several different committees. He has been a part of the Mitchell Main Street and Beyond Committee for the past six years, most recently as Board Member and Vice Chair. Puetz was a committee member for the Mitchell Chamber Education and Beautification committees and co-chair for the Focus 2020 Lake Mitchell Committee. Puetz is currently on the advisory council for the Dakota Wesleyan Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) organization and chair person for the Lake Mitchell Advisory Committee.
Puetz and his wife, Katie, have two children, Eliza and James.
“I am looking forward to listening, learning and contributing to the South Dakota Housing Development Authority. I am humbled by the appointment and look forward to making progress within our focus area of work,” said Puetz.
Puetz joins current Commissioners Linda Barker of Sioux Falls, Brent Dykstra of Fort Pierre, Bill Hansen of Centerville, David Pummel of Belle Fourche, Paul Symens of Amherst and chairman Lloyd Schipper of Pierre.
SDHDA’s Commissioners are appointed by the Governor and serve to establish policy for the organization and oversee its operations.
